Number Wheel

Set a number range or type your own list, spin the wheel, and let it pick a winner fairly.

What this number wheel does

Give the wheel a set of numbers, or a list of names, prizes or choices, and it picks one at random with a spin. Every entry gets an equal slice, and the winner is chosen with the secure random method built into your browser, so each spin is a fair draw that no one can steer.

Two things set it apart from a plain picker. First, the no-repeat option: turn on "Remove winner after each spin" and each winner leaves the wheel, which is exactly what a raffle or prize draw needs. Second, the winners history: every result is written down in order, so there is never an argument about who won the third spin. Add the fullscreen button and you have a wheel that works as well on a classroom screen or a live stream as it does on your phone.

How to use it

  1. Choose your entries. Use a number range (say 1 to 100) or switch to the custom list and type one entry per line.
  2. Pick your draw style. Leave removal off for endless spins, or turn it on for a no-repeat draw.
  3. Press SPIN (or click the wheel). It slows down and stops on the winner, shown big under the wheel.
  4. Check the history on the right. Every winner is logged. Reset the wheel any time to restore removed entries.

A quick example

A teacher wants a fair way to pick who presents first. She switches to the custom list, types her six group names, turns on "Remove winner after each spin", and spins six times. Each group wins exactly once, the order is set, and the history on the screen is the proof no one was picked on purpose.

The same setup runs a giveaway draw (entries are ticket numbers), a family game night (entries are chores no one wants), or a quick classroom question picker. If you just need one number fast and do not care about the show, our Random Number Generator is the plainer tool for the job.

Tips for a good draw

Show the wheel before you spin. In a raffle or class, trust comes from people seeing all the entries on the wheel before the draw, not just the winner after it.

Use no-repeat for prizes. If each prize should go to a different person, removal is the setting that keeps the draw honest without a notebook.

Keep entries short. The wheel holds up to 100 entries, but labels get small past about 30. For a long list, draw in rounds: spin for a group of finalists, then spin again among them.

Screenshot the history. For an online giveaway, a picture of the winners list next to the wheel is simple proof the draw was real.

Frequently asked questions

Is the number wheel fair?

Yes. Every entry gets an equal slice of the wheel, and the winner is picked with a secure random method built into your browser. No entry is favored, and past spins do not change future ones.

Can I put names on the wheel instead of numbers?

Yes. Switch to the custom list, type one name or entry per line, and the wheel uses your list. It works for class picks, raffles, team draws and choosing who goes first in a game.

What does "remove winner after spin" do?

When it is on, the winning entry is taken off the wheel after each spin, so it cannot win twice. It is the right setting for raffles and prize draws. Press Reset wheel to bring all entries back.

How many entries can the wheel hold?

Up to 100 entries, whether from a number range or a custom list. Past that the labels stop being readable, so the wheel caps the list and tells you.

Can I show the wheel full screen at an event?

Yes. Press the Fullscreen button and the wheel fills the screen, which is handy for classrooms, live draws and streams. Press Esc to come back.
